Recommendations for people with a history of severe allergies to the Pfizer vaccine
Recommendations to people with a history of significant allergic reactions not to receive the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine have been issued by the UK authorities, according to the National Health Service (NHS).
According to the NHS, two people with a history of severe allergies responded poorly after receiving the vaccine.
“As is customary with new vaccines, the MHRA (regulator) has advised people with a significant history of allergic reactions not to take this vaccine,” said NHS Medical Director Steven Pewis.
He noted that the two people are recovering.
Vaccination against COVID-19 with the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine started in Britain yesterday, Tuesday, for the first time in a western country.
