China and Iran in the focus of Biden-Johnson telephone communication
US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson spoke by telephone on Friday expressing concern over China’s response to sanctions, and said Iran would have to comply again with its obligations under international agreement on its nuclear program.
“The leaders agreed that it was necessary for Iran to return to compliance with the nuclear deal,” a Johnson spokesman said after the meeting.
“On the issue of China, the Prime Minister and the President discussed the important action taken by Britain, the United States and other international partners this week, by imposing sanctions on those who violate human rights in Xinjiang, and expressed their concern about “China’s retaliation,” he added.
