Telephone communication Starmer-Zelensky – “Our support in Ukraine is unwavering”

The British Prime Minister contacted Ukrainian President Volontimir Zelensky this morning by telephone. Sir Kir Starmer once again pointed out “the UK’s unwavering support for Ukraine. The two leaders discussed the terrible attack with a Russian rocket in the early hours of the morning, which deprived over a million people of Russia’s heating, lighting and electricity,” points out among others Downing Street’s announcement, with the British Prime Minister describing Russia’s “systemic attacks”. Starmer and Zelensky agreed that it is very important that Ukraine prepare for the next months, so that it is “at the best possible position in the face of another difficult winter conflict”. Finally, the two leaders also discussed Ukraine’s long-term future by stressing “how investing in the country’s security today will strengthen Europe’s overall security for future generations”.
